What is CIAST?

CIAST stands for ‘Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training’.It is a public skill training institute under the Department of Skill Development of the Ministry of Human Resources. It offers courses for developing the skills of instructors. The courses starts its operations since 1985.

Where is the locations of CIAST?

The main CIAST campus is situated in Section 19, Shah Alam, Selangor.

CIAST also established satellite campuses that is consists of 14 CIAST Satellite Campus (CSC).

What are the programmes conducted at CIAST?

 

CIAST offers long-term courses such as the Vocational Instructor Certification (VTO) I-031-3:2014 Level 3, Malaysian Skills Advanced Diploma with Vocational Instructor Certificate (DLKM+VTO) Level 5 and Malaysian Skills Diploma with Vocational Instructor Certificate (DKM+VTO) Level 4 (Electronics, Mechatronics, Production, Welding, Automotive, Computer Systems and Computer Network).

CIAST also offers short-term courses in the technical field and courses related to teaching skills, specifically in the vocational field.

Does CIAST provide job opportunities after graduation?

No.

In addition, it has an accreditation system for industry experts with experience in vocational and technical skills.
